13th Annual Poster Competition Winner

Rhoda Gordon is the winner of the 13th Annual Greenport Poster Contest sponsored by the Village of Greenport Business Improvement District (BID). She will receive the $500 first prize during an award ceremony at the Maritime Museum in Greenport on September 21st during Maritime Festival weekend.

All winning entries will be displayed at the Maritime Museum in Greenport. The remaining entrants will be displayed in the window at 38 Front Street, Greenport.

The 2007 Greenport Poster will be available for sale from merchants in Greenport for a cost of $10. All proceeds benefit the Greenport Business Improvement Development organization.

If you would like a poster mailed to your home, please send a $15 check made out to the Village of Greenport Business Improvement District, to PO Box 73, Greenport, NY 11944. Please include mailing address and phone number. This will cover the cost of the poster and shipping & handling.

Chartered as a non-profit, self-taxing business organization, Greenport BID’s mission is to promote business within the Village of Greenport. The BID’s popular annual poster created from the contest’s winner is used to celebrate and promote Greenport.

Topic: Must represent or originate from Greenport

Submission format: Submit non-mounted photo prints (5 x 7) of ALL entries – no matter what the medium.

Greenport BID is NOT responsible for originals.

Include a SASE if you would like your submission returned.

Winners Agreement

If I should win, I agree to allow the Village of Greenport Business Improvement District (BID) to use my winning entry for promotional purposes. I will be credited on all promotional pieces and will be awarded a check of $500 at a press conference in September. The BID will maintain the sole rights to the winning entry through December 31, 2008.
