NF Audubon Presentation: Wildlife of Madagascar
October 12, 2018 @ 7:30 pm
Wildlife of Madagascar by Dr. Bill White
Presented by North Fork Audubon
During April 2018 Bill and friends traveled four weeks throughout southern Madagascar to photograph several lemur, bird, and chameleon species, as well as endemic insect and baobab tree species that can be found nowhere else in the world. In addition, he encountered the rarely seen fosa, a puma-like carnivore and the largest living indigenous land mammal in Madagascar. Please join Bill on this journey to the ‘eighth continent’ as he shares with you its unique flora and fauna species.
Bill is the newest serving Audubon board member, and a recently retired veterinarian from the Plum Island Animal Disease Center.
