Dear Business Owner,

We at the Village of Greenport Business Improvement District (BID) hope that you and your staff are having a successful summer season! Our organization aims to support our growing list of business owners in the downtown Village of Greenport. We currently have over 250 members and are fully staffed with 11 local volunteers and two paid employees. We finance and execute events, promote business and commerce through numerous online and traditional media channels, and invest in the landscape and other beautification projects that support our membership. Outside of fundraising our organization is funded mostly by tax revenue allocated to us by the Village of Greenport.

For the first time since its inception, the BID is seeking to connect and offer our valuable services with business owners outside of the Village of Greenport Business District. During the COVID shutdown the BID was extremely active not just with the financing and installment of the Parklets in the Village but were also involved with other businesses, non profits, and local government to provide solutions and information to our members and the public.

As we continue into an uncertain future of current and post COVID guidelines and business operation, we will remain adamant on providing these services to our membership. We are calling on any and all North Fork business owners to consider a paid partnership with the Village of Greenport BID.*

* For those businesses who have been listed on greenportvillage.com in the past and are outside of our district, we will give them until November 1st to decide if they would like to continue with a paid plan with us.

The affordable plans (outlined below) include a business listing on our website, greenportvillage.com and is visited by over a million travelers both nationally and internationally (see informational deck attached below). This portal provides these travelers with a plethora of options of places to stay, dine, sip, and experience Greenport. However, we have a unique opportunity by including neighboring businesses to this list – to expand that experience and knowledge of not just Greenport but the entire North Fork.

Local businesses with 1 to 5 employees
From Orient Point to Riverhead
Includes: Business listing on website

Associate Plan — $225/year
Local businesses with 5 to 20 employees
From Orient Point to Riverhead
Includes: Business listing, bi-monthly newsletters, monthly social media

Corporate Plan —  $1,000/year
Companies with 20 or more employees with a location on the North Fork
Includes: Business listing, bi-monthly newsletters, monthly social media, invitation to bi-annual meeting, annual meeting and other events.
